The duration of treatment depends on various factors, so the information that follows should be understood as a rough guide only. Immediate loading of the implant or immediate replacement is an exception that can only be realized under optimum circumstances and which involves an elevated risk.

A treatment period of three to six months is a realistic expectation, with most of this period required for the integration of the implant into the bone. During this time you will wear a temporary tooth replacement. Once the healing phase has been completed, the dentist will lock the abutment onto the implant, place the crown on top, and connect it with the new root.

The time invested is certainly worthwhile in view of the exceptional longevity of CAMLOG implants – which is 30 years or more in the best cases.
